SmartEnergy successfully completed the supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of a 40kW solar powered backup system for the AB Bank Ndola Branch. The project was implemented to strengthen energy security and ensure continuous banking operations during grid outages. The system comprises 29.7kWp of monocrystalline solar PV panels, 30.72kWh of lithium battery storage, and high-performance inverters rated at a minimum of 36kW. Designed as a hybrid solution, the system integrates seamlessly with the existing electrical infrastructure to provide reliable backup power to critical bank loads while improving operational resilience and sustainability

Benefits of Project

The system significantly enhances energy reliability and operational continuity for the bank while reducing dependence on the utility grid

Technologies Used

The installation is based on an advanced hybrid energy architecture designed for efficiency and reliability.

  • Hybrid high-voltage (HV) system with advanced inverters for efficient power management
  • Lithium battery energy storage system for stable and reliable backup power
  • Monocrystalline solar PV panels for high-efficiency energy generation
  • Remote monitoring and control system for real-time performance tracking and management
  • Automatic generator start/stop integration for seamless backup power support during extended outages
